Riprendono le test patch, in attesa della nuova licenza annunciata tempo addietro. In questa test patch non c’è ancora la nuova fisica degli pneumatici, ne il tracciato di Rockingham ne la (dispersa) Volkswagen Scirocco.

Dopo la recente uscita della patch Z25, in casa Live for Speed si sta testano l’installer. Già infatti LFS si scarica come pacchetto compresso da scompattare dove si vuole. Ovviamente le esigenze cambiano, e l’utilità di un installer come si deve è necessaria. Potete scaricare il pacchetto a questo link, o ricevere maggiori informazioni in questo post del forum ufficiale.

Non si tratta di una test patch, ma proprio di un upgrade ufficiale tanto da comparire nella prima pagina del sito di Live For Speed. Purtroppo ancora una volta dobbiamo frenare l’entusiasmo in quanto non è presente la nuova fisica degli pneumatici e non è presente la tanto attesa Volkswagen Scirocco.

Diciottesima test patch per Live for Speed, anche questa ovviamente non include la nuova Scirocco e il tracciato di Rockingham, ma tende a stabilizzare le precedenti patch e inserire qualche piccola novità. Download e informazioni aggiuntive a questa pagina.

Dopo l’annuncio del nuovo modello fisico, il tracciato di Rockingham e la Volkswagen Scirocco, arriva una patch che serve a prepararne il terreno (ma non contiene affatto le sopra citate novità). Potete testare, visto che NON si tratta di una patch ufficiale, il tutto a questo indirizzo.

Per gli appassionati di Live for Speed, questa notizia è per certi versi storica. Il team di sviluppo sta lavorando al primo circuito reale, ovvero quello di Rockingham in Inghilterra. In sostanza è uno dei pochi (quasi) ovali del vecchio continente, ma ovviamente con parecchie varianti stradali e perfino una Rally Cross. La seconda notizia è che anche il team di LFS sta utilizzando la tecnica del laser scanning per proporre un circuito ad altissimo livello qualitativo, proprio come accade per Iracing.

La terza notizia è che questo tracciato sarà disponibile a chi sottoscriverà la licenza S3, che inizialmente conterrà una nuova vettura, per poi essere arricchita con altri circuiti e vetture. La nuova vettura non è la tanto attesa Scirocco, quella sarà disponibile sia per le licenze S1 che S2.

Riprendono, un po’ a rilento questa volta, i lavori per la futura patch di Live For Speed, che sappiamo apportare molte modifiche e (forse) una nuova vettura.
Di seguito le novità di questa beta patch:

FIX : Pit exit indicator was a square in double byte languages
FIX : Rim / tyre polygon alignment was wrong (left wheels FXO / UF1)
FIX : Pitlane exit direction arrows did not work in training lessons
FIX : MPR buffer overflow vulnerability (reported by muhaa – thanks)
FIX : Could cross finish line without passing all route checkers
FIX : Skin names containing a ‘.’ could not be loaded in LFS
FIX : Colour extended into skin download progress indicator
FIX : F12 tyre display for remote car could go off screen
FIX : MRT5 gear indicator and fuel gauge are now visible
FIX : Short cuts were possible in slalom course training
FIX : Autocross route checkers only worked for one lap
TEST key added for Wine users. The new shadows are known to go
wrong when LFS is run using Wine on a Linux computer. Press SHIFT+K
to try out a test version to see if it makes any difference.
On Windows computers, the test version is slightly slower.

Dopo svariati mesi di silenzio, riprende il lavoro di sviluppo della prossima patch per Live for Speed. Ancora non è disponibile la Volkswagen Scirocco (dove nei mesi scorsi si è pure dubitato che venisse mai rilasciata). Nel dettaglio le modifiche sono queste:
