Come per la Formula 1, i modders si scatenano ancora prima che il campionato vero e proprio incominci. Si tratta infatti di una versione pre-season a cura di Michael Peters, della Petersracing che riproduce la stagione 2009 della major league americana.

Aggiornamento per le piccole monoposto (simili alle GP2) del campionato del sol levante. In questo aggiornamento della FN2008 troviamo:

-AIR OUTLET by gating the effectiveness of implementation.
-Modify the rate of decline of grip the tire wear.
-Little change in the amount of load changes.
-Fuel tank capacity from 134L to 135L modified.
-Change is easier to fire the engine.
-Slight change in fuel economy.

Come era lecito attendersi, la prima mod per la stagione di Formula 1 (che inizia domattina con le qualifiche australiane) ha un gran frenetico lavoro alle spalle. L’aggiornamento riporta le livree che vedremo in partenza nella prima gara, con fisica modellata vettura per vettura con un team bonus, ovvero la USGP che dovrebbe debuttare nel 2010.

Una delle Mod più famose per rFactor è sicuramente il campionato di Formula 1 del 1979. Tempo fa questa stupenda realizzazione è stata portata in dote a GTR2  ed oggi si aggiorna alla versione 2.0.

Se l’anno passato erano gli ungheresi ad aver anticipato tutti presentando la stagione 2008 di Formula 1 prima ancora che partisse il campionato, quest’anno tocca agli spagnoli. A dire il vero questa F1RL sembra leggermente meno curata nei particolari, ma sicuramente nel corso dell’anno le cose miglioreranno.
