Diciottesima test patch per Live for Speed, anche questa ovviamente non include la nuova Scirocco e il tracciato di Rockingham, ma tende a stabilizzare le precedenti patch e inserire qualche piccola novità. Download e informazioni aggiuntive a questa pagina.

Dopo l’annuncio del nuovo modello fisico, il tracciato di Rockingham e la Volkswagen Scirocco, arriva una patch che serve a prepararne il terreno (ma non contiene affatto le sopra citate novità). Potete testare, visto che NON si tratta di una patch ufficiale, il tutto a questo indirizzo.

Un po’ come tutti i titoli che si rispettino, esce la prima patch per la versione su PC.

Questa patch include due nuove caratteristiche: modalità LAN (Local Area Network), che ottimizza l’esperienza multigiocatore e il supporto del mouse, che permette la navigazione completa nei menu di tutto il gioco utilizzando il mouse del PC.

Nono aggiornamento, che richiede TASSATIVAMENTE la presenza di update 8 del super mega pack dedicato al simulatore Richard Burns Rally. Tra le novità di questo aggiornamento:

Prosegue la roadmap della nuova versione di NetKar Pro, ecco le ultime modifiche:

Qualche giorno fa, in piena vacanza ferragostana, è uscita una patch per il duo Race 07 e GTR Evolution (di cui condividono la medesima base) portando la versione del prodotto alla 1.2.0.8. Dietro alla criptica numerazione queste le modifiche apportate (saranno applicate automaticamente da Steam):

Con l’uscita della patch (in beta) 1.1 arriva anche una promozione estiva, 45% di sconto, che porta il prezzo di Netkar Pro a 19,90 Euro. La promozione resta attiva tutto il mese di agosto. Di seguito le modifiche apportate dalla beta patch:

Graphics User Interface (GUI)
– 100% new GUI program (netKar PRO_NT.exe) with localization
– Improved in-sim setup layout
– New behaviour for the top bar
– Added "count down" in seconds to the "go to grid button"

Riprendono, un po’ a rilento questa volta, i lavori per la futura patch di Live For Speed, che sappiamo apportare molte modifiche e (forse) una nuova vettura.
Di seguito le novità di questa beta patch:

FIX : Pit exit indicator was a square in double byte languages
FIX : Rim / tyre polygon alignment was wrong (left wheels FXO / UF1)
FIX : Pitlane exit direction arrows did not work in training lessons
FIX : MPR buffer overflow vulnerability (reported by muhaa – thanks)

FIX : Skin names containing a ‘.’ could not be loaded in LFS

FIX : F12 tyre display for remote car could go off screen
FIX : MRT5 gear indicator and fuel gauge are now visible
FIX : Short cuts were possible in slalom course training
FIX : Autocross route checkers only worked for one lap
TEST key added for Wine users. The new shadows are known to go
wrong when LFS is run using Wine on a Linux computer. Press SHIFT+K
to try out a test version to see if it makes any difference.
On Windows computers, the test version is slightly slower.

La notizia sarebbe del 12 giugno, ma non l’avevo proprio vista. E’ uscita la patch per Euro Truck Simulator (simulatore di camion) che lo porta alla versione 1.3, e che sostanzialmente non apporta novità ma corregge solo alcuni bugs. Potete scaricare il pacchetto di aggiornamento da questo link.

Dopo svariati mesi di silenzio, riprende il lavoro di sviluppo della prossima patch per Live for Speed. Ancora non è disponibile la Volkswagen Scirocco (dove nei mesi scorsi si è pure dubitato che venisse mai rilasciata). Nel dettaglio le modifiche sono queste:
